| FAQ |
"I am traveling to
the grand canyon the last week in June. I plan on seeing both the south
rim and north rim. What kind of temperatures can I expect? Are
there any places to stop for gas or eat on the drive from the south rim
to the north rim._ Thanks -- Joy, Australia The Grand Canyon will be hot. The South Rim will be in the 90's, and the North rim probably high 80's. Keep in mind that the elevation makes the heat seem amplified and there are no trees to hide under. Bring lots of water and sunscreen, and I recommend that you bring a hat and sunglasses if you are going to do any hiking. There are gas stations and places to eat. If you go along Hwy 89, we recommend the White Mountain Trading Post and Texaco. For more information, go to http://www.destinationcoupons.com/Utah/zion/white_mountain/white_trading.htm |
