Conceived by Tony Goldman and Jeffrey Dietch, it is a collection of curated murals by artists from around the world, on the walls of former warehouses which form a series of courtyards. Step through the wrought iron entrance gate to Wynwood Walls and listen to the story of how Wynwood rose from a neglected industrial zone to Art District and the role of Tony Goldman in its development. Learn how the Walls (and Doors) are curated at Wynwood Walls and what their life span is. Stroll through the courtyards, pause at several murals, like Shepard Fairey’s depicting Tony Goldman in an homage. Take in the art, snap photos, and hear about who the artists are, what their place is in street art history, what techniques they use, and what messages and meanings may be behind their work. Ask questions and converse with your Guide and fellow group members about your impressions.
